2013-05-01_1869:SS: Messages to the public

MR. CHRIS D'ENTREMONT: Just for those people who are watching TV today, in case you don't know the number, 794-8521, call that phone number to make sure if the Northside Emergency Room is open, because it is closed more than it is open.

MADAM SPEAKER: Order, please. I'd like to remind the member that it's not appropriate to offer messages to the viewing public. The debate is held within the Chamber, so just be mindful of that in a further debate. Thank you.

MR. D'ENTREMONT: Thank you very much.

2013-04-11_0707_SS: Introduction in QP

MR. SPEAKER: Order, please. I am about to break a long-standing tradition about introductions in Question Period. I feel that it's necessary. We have a very important dignitary who has joined us here today. I will recognize the honourable Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party to do the introduction, but I will add a minute to Question Period.

The honourable Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party.

2013-04-05_0458_SS: Unparliamentary language

MR. SPEAKER: Order, please. I remind all honourable members that while the honourable member for Halifax Clayton Park has the floor, I would appreciate that the tone of the heckling be toned down a little bit this morning, please. I don't think that the comment "the Princess of Pessimism" is parliamentary-appropriate in this Chamber so I would ask the honourable member to please retract that statement this morning.

The honourable member for Lunenburg West.

MR. GARY RAMEY: Mr. Speaker, I retract that comment. Thank you.
