An Act to Amend Chapter 260
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Liquor Control Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows: 1 Chapter 260 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Liquor Control Act, is amended by adding immediately after Section 107 the following Section:

107A (1) In the event of an anticipated or continuing violation of this Act or the regulations, the Corporation may apply to a judge of the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia for an order enjoining the person from continuing or committing the violation.

(2) On receipt of an application made pursuant to subsection (1), a judge of the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia may make any order that the judge considers appropriate.

(3) A judge of the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia may, on an ex parte application, grant an interim injunction pending the hearing of an application for an order pursuant to subsection (1) if the judge is satisfied that there is reason to believe that a person is likely to commit or is continuing to commit a violation of this Act or the regulations.
