HON. FRANK CORBETT « » : Mr. Speaker, would you permit me to do an introduction before I introduce the bill, please?

MR. SPEAKER « » : Most certainly.

MR. CORBETT « » : Thank you, I do this with a great deal of pride. Mr. Speaker, you as the son of a steelworker, myself as a son of a coal miner, and to all of us who have loved ones who worked in industry across this great province of ours, today we have a group who were known mostly as the "disenfranchised widows." When I call them by name, if they would stand I would appreciate it, and after their names maybe they will receive the warm greeting of the House: Betty Bauman; Carmelita MacIsaac, and Carmelita, as many of you may know, has a son named Ashley; Deborah MacDonald; Rose Connolly; Beverly MacLean; Diane Laird; and Velma Redden. These are some of the disenfranchised widows. (Applause)
