Select Committee on Establishing an Electoral Boundaries Commission (2018)

On March 27, 2018, the House of Assembly passed a resolution to form a Select Committee on Establishing an Electoral Boundaries Commission.

Mandate and composition

The select committee determines the composition of an independent electoral boundaries commission and terms of reference in addition to those set in the House of Assembly. The appointed commission recommends changes to boundaries and names for the electoral districts which make up the membership of the House. The House of Assembly Act requires that this process take place at least once every ten years.

Resolution No. 1082

The select committee is authorized to continue its business in the event of prorogation.
