The Nova Scotia Legislature: An Overview of its Procedures and Practices was written by Arthur G. H. Fordham, QC in 2001; he revised the publication in 2006. Mr. Fordham was the Assistant Clerk of the Nova Scotia House of Assembly for over 10 years; he died in 2009.

This overview of the practices and procedures of the Nova Scotia Legislature is designed primarily to give new members of the House, its staff, and interested members of the public a general idea of how the Legislature works procedurally.
