Explanatory Note

This Bill changes the maximum number of members of the Board of Directors of The Mic-Mac Amateur Aquatic Club from ten to fourteen and authorizes the Club to change by by-law, the maximum number of members of the Board. This Bill also provides that nothing done by the Board before the coming into force of these changes is affected by there having been at any time more than ten members of the Board.

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Section 5 of Chapter 135 of the Acts of 1923, An Act to Incorporate The Mic-Mac Amateur Aquatic Club, as enacted by Chapter 113 of the Acts of 1957, is amended by adding "determining the maximum number of members of the Board of Directors," immediately after "to" in the fourth line.

2 Section 7 of Chapter 135 is amended by striking out "ten members" in the second line and substituting "fourteen members, or such other number of members as the by-laws provide".

3 Nothing done by the Board of Directors of The Mic-Mac Amateur Aquatic Club before the coming into force of this Act is affected by reason only that there was at any time more than ten members of the Board.
