An Act to Amend Chapter 1
(1992 Supplement)
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the House of Assembly Act

WHEREAS in 1987 the boundary of the Municipality of the County of Antigonish was altered to include a small part of the County of Guysborough;

AND WHEREAS in 1992 a map of the electoral boundaries prepared for the Provincial Electoral Boundaries Commission included the annexed part of the County of Guysborough in the electoral district of Antigonish;

AND WHEREAS the House of Assembly Act puts the annexed part of the County of Guysborough in the electoral district of Guysborough-Port Hawkesbury;

AND WHEREAS in 1993 and 1998 electors residing in the annexed part of the County of Guysborough were enumerated in error in the electoral district of Antigonish;

AND WHEREAS it is desirable that the annexed part of the County of Guysborough be included in the electoral district of Antigonish;

THEREFORE be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Clause 4(b) of Chapter 1 (1992 Supplement) of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the House of Assembly Act, is repealed and the following clause substituted:

and, in the County of Guysborough,

(ii) that part of the County in the Municipality of the County of Antigonish;

2 Subclause 4(y)(i) of Chapter 1 is amended by adding ", except that part in the Municipality of the County of Antigonish" immediately after "Guysborough".
