Explanatory Note

This Bill moves from the constituency of Guysborough-Port Hawkesbury to the constituency of Antigonish the part of the Municipality of the County of Antigonish that is in the County of Guysborough.

An Act to Amend Chapter 1
(1992 Supplement)
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the House of Assembly Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Clause 4(b) of Chapter 1 (1992 Supplement) of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the House of Assembly Act, is repealed and the following clause substituted:

(b) Antigonish, consisting of

(i) the County of Antigonish, including Pomquet and Afton Reserve (23),

and, in the County of Guysborough,

(ii) that part of the County in the Municipality of the County of Antigonish;

2 Subclause 4(y)(i) of Chapter 1 is amended by adding ", except that part in the Municipality of the County of Antigonish" immediately after "Guysborough".
