2017-09-26_0243_SR: Vote at end of daily routine

HON. CHRISTOPHER D'ENTREMONT: Mr. Speaker, I believe when we left it last night under debate on Motion 1, if I consult Hansard, your comments were "I am advised by the Chief Clerk that we have run out of time. The clock has expired before the vote occurred so the motion to adjourn was put but not voted on, so we'll deal with that tomorrow, or at our first opportunity."

2015-12-03_6648_SS: Recorded Vote on Adjournment

MR. SPEAKER: The motion is for adjournment of the House, to meet again tomorrow, December 4th, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Would all those in favour of the motion . . .

AN HON. MEMBER: Recorded vote.

MR. SPEAKER: There has been a request for a recorded vote.

We'll ring the bells until the Whips are satisfied.

[6:01 p.m.]

[The Division bells were rung.]

[6:05 p.m.]

2015-05-11_5333_SR: Premier's Statement not Interference

MR. SPEAKER: Order, please. On the matter of the point of privilege, after consulting with the Clerk and considering comments from both sides of the House, it is my interpretation that the Premier earlier in the media scrum was merely stating his position and his government's position, but there were no comments made as to how he was instructing anybody to vote.

2014-11-07_2257_SS: Recorded Vote Supercedes QP

MR. SPEAKER: The motion is to adjourn debate on Bill No. 6.

There has been a call for a recorded vote. We will ring the bells for one hour, which will delay Question Period until the vote is conducted. (Interruptions)

We will recess for one minute while I get some advice on that question.

[9:55 a.m. The House recessed.]

[9:57 a.m. The House reconvened.]

2014-11-04_1910_SS: Conduct During Recorded Vote

MR. SPEAKER: We'll proceed with the recorded vote on Bill No. 26. Before we do, I want to take this opportunity to remind everybody to refer to Page 17 of the Rule Book for conduct when the question is put: when the Speaker is putting a question, no member shall walk out or across the House or make noise or any disturbance.

I suggest that if it's important enough for a recorded vote, it's important enough to remain silent and be respectful while we do the vote, please.
