We petition the Government of Nova Scotia to opt out of the federal gun registry in Nova Scotia.". I have affixed my signature to this petition. It is signed by 1,512 individuals who oppose that matter.
MR. SPEAKER: The petition is tabled.
The honourable Minister of Justice.
HON. ROBERT HARRISON: Mr. Speaker, I beg leave to table a petition to which I have affixed my signature and to which have been affixed the signature of some 200 citizens of Kings South. "We, the undersigned residents, who would be affected by Dr. James Gunn's December 2/98 proposal to change boundary lines for those in the Coldbrook School District, are vehemently opposed to this change, and refuse to take our children out of Coldbrook School.". I beg leave to table this petition.
MR. SPEAKER: The petition is tabled.
The honourable member for Halifax Fairview.
MS. EILEEN O'CONNELL: Mr. Speaker, I beg leave to table a petition bearing 190 signatures from residents of Pictou County who are concerned about public-private partnering in the construction of new schools. The operative clause reads, "We, the undersigned, are opposed to the closure of Pictou County's publically owned, community high schools and the construction of two amalgamated privately leased (P3) mega high schools. (We do support quality schools built and owned, when and where needed, by the taxpayers of Nova Scotia)". I have affixed my signature to the document.
MR. SPEAKER: The petition is tabled.
The honourable Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party.
DR. JOHN HAMM: Mr. Speaker, I beg leave to table a petition signed by residents of Cape Breton, the petition reading as follows, "Whereas, withholding the transfer of coal leases from private owners maintains Nova Scotia's ability to assist Cape Breton coal miners to negotiate a fair employment and retirement strategy with the Federal Government, and:
Whereas, this would allow miners to continue living in and contributing to our communities and our economy;
WE, the undersigned, request that the Provincial Government not transfer any coal leases until such time that the Federal Government negotiates a strategy for the future of employees of the Cape Breton Development Corporation that provides satisfactory benefits to said employees, their families and our communities at large.". I have signed this petition for tabling.

GOVERNMENT NOTICES OF MOTION
NOTICES OF MOTION
MR. SPEAKER: The honourable member for Halifax Fairview.
MS. EILEEN O'CONNELL: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas on Wednesday, March 24th, Mount Saint Vincent University held its awards night banquet; and
Whereas awards were presented for academic, athletic and humanitarian achievement; and
Whereas the students and staff deserve respect for their individual accomplishments and appreciation for their contributions to the Mount and to the wider community;
Therefore be it resolved that this House congratulate the students of Mount Saint Vincent for honouring their own in this the 125th year of Mount Saint Vincent University.
Mr. Speaker, I seek waiver of notice.
MR. SPEAKER: There has been a request for waiver of notice.
Is it agreed?
It is agreed.
Would all those in favour of the motion please say Aye. Contrary minded, Nay.
The motion is carried.
The honourable Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party.
DR. JOHN HAMM: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas despite an agreement by all three Parties to return to the Legislature to deal with Bill No. 90 yesterday, the NDP refuse to deal with the bill; and
Whereas in a letter to the Speaker, dated March 3rd, the NDP House Leader urged the House resume on March 22nd in order to deal with Bill No. 90; and
Whereas this is just yet another indication of the kind of politics the NDP like to play at every turn;
Therefore be it resolved that the NDP admit that they have broken their agreement with the House, broken faith with injured workers and, despite their public pronouncements, have never been truly committed to making this Legislature work in the interests of Nova Scotians.
MR. SPEAKER: The notice is tabled. (Interruptions)
Order, please. Order, please.
The honourable member for Sackville-Cobequid.
MR. JOHN HOLM: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline has filed an amendment to its application before the NEB requesting permission to delay its delivery of natural gas to the metro area by almost a full year; and
Whereas Maritimes & Northeast blamed the delay on the lateness of the scheduled NEB hearings while the NEB says hearings couldn't be held sooner because all supporting information for the application has not been filed; and
Whereas at the same time Maritimes & Northeast say they cannot meet their commitments to Nova Scotians, they say they are on schedule insofar as exporting our natural gas to the United States and New Brunswick;
Therefore be it resolved this House formally go on record as opposing a delay in delivering natural gas to mainland Nova Scotia that would, in effect, place most Nova Scotians in a disadvantaged position compared to our American and New Brunswick competitors who will have access to our natural gas in almost another full year ahead of us.
Mr. Speaker, I would request waiver of notice.
MR. SPEAKER: There has been a request for waiver of notice.
Is it agreed?
I hear several Noes.
The notice is tabled.
The honourable member for Cole Harbour-Eastern Passage.
MR. KEVIN DEVEAUX: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas the Premier yesterday referred to a certain Party in this House as "the Dark Side of the Force" when asked to include all Parties in attempts to get a fair deal for Devco miners and their families; and
Whereas the spouses of Devco miners in this House yesterday made it clear they view the Premier to be hiding on the dark side of himself by playing politics with their future;
Therefore be it resolved that the Premier turn on his light-sabre so that he may better see who is really wearing the black cape and mask that hides his true self-serving political intentions.
MR. SPEAKER: The notice is tabled.
The honourable Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party.
DR. JOHN HAMM: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas a member of New Glasgow's Town Police Department was recently honoured by the town's mayor and council; and
Whereas Constable John Cameron was presented a replica of the medal from the town's Mayor, Ann MacLean, in appreciation of dedicated service to the town and its citizens; and
Whereas Constable Cameron had previously received a Police Exemplary Service Medal from the Government of Canada for long and exemplary service in the police profession;
Therefore be it resolved that the members of this House congratulate Constable Cameron on his awards and for his years of dedicated service.
Mr. Speaker, I would ask for waiver of notice.
MR. SPEAKER: There has been a request for waiver of notice.
Is it agreed?
It is agreed.
Would all those in favour of the motion please say Aye. Contrary minded, Nay.
The motion is carried.
The honourable member for Preston.
MS. YVONNE ATWELL: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas the Lake Echo Seniors Club, which has been established as a community group, celebrated their 10th Anniversary; and
Whereas the Lake Echo Seniors continue to remain active within the community by hosting events for various community groups, providing relief and support to those requiring assistance; and
Whereas this energetic group is involved with community activities almost on a daily basis;
Therefore be it resolved that this House commend the Lake Echo Seniors for their significant contribution and ongoing involvement in providing support and assistance in building healthier communities.
Mr. Speaker, I would ask for waiver of notice.
MR. SPEAKER: There has been a request for waiver of notice.
Is it agreed?
It is agreed.
Would all those in favour of the motion please say Aye. Contrary minded, Nay.
The motion is carried.
The honourable member for Pictou East.
MR. JAMES DEWOLFE: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas a number of questions pertaining to the level of ambulance service presently being provided in Pictou County need answering; and
Whereas recent examples of why this Liberal Government's multimillion-dollar-enhanced ambulance performance system is not working include an ambulance having to be brought from Bedford to deliver an elderly patient to a senior citizens' complex located 10 minutes from the Aberdeen Hospital; and
Whereas the ratio of ambulances to population served in Pictou County has grown from 1 for every 10,000 people in 1993 to 1 for every 12,500 in 1999;
Therefore be it resolved that the Minister of Health take his head out of the sand and come to understand that problems exist with the level of ambulance services being delivered in Pictou County and move immediately to invoke corrective measures so Pictonians can depend on a fast and timely response from an ambulance in the event of an emergency.
[10:15 a.m.]
MR. SPEAKER: There has been a request for waiver.
Is it agreed?
I hear several Noes.
The notice is tabled.
The honourable member for Cape Breton Centre.
MR. FRANK CORBETT: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas the Premier's constant refrain is that everyone is negative and no one else has positive ideas and only the capital L brand of new life Liberals should deal with the crisis facing Devco; and
Whereas yesterday, inside this House, miners, their families, and community saw this government has no specific proposals, yet it finds fault with everyone else; and
Whereas the Premier has also demonstrated that on Devco issues he can always sink to the lowest political levels;
Therefore be it resolved that this House urge the Premier to worry a little less about his own political neck and start worrying about how to work with others to gain credible transition plans for the thousands of Cape Bretoners who face the loss of their jobs and businesses.
MR. SPEAKER: The notice is tabled.
The honourable Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture.
HON. KEITH COLWELL: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas Mr. Carson Baxter has served both in the Sackville and Oyster Pond Fire Departments for approximately 47 years as a volunteer firefighter; and
Whereas he will be recognized on April 9th for his outstanding efforts to protect the residents of Sackville and the Eastern Shore; and
Whereas he has recently retired as Deputy Fire Chief in the Oyster Pond and Area Volunteer Fire Department and will be given the title of Honorary Deputy Fire Chief;
Therefore be it resolved that members of this House recognize Mr. Carson Baxter for his many years of dedicated service in his role as a volunteer firefighter and wish him well in his retirement.
Mr. Speaker, I would ask for waiver.
MR. SPEAKER: There has been a request for waiver.
Is it agreed?
It is agreed.
Would all those in favour of the motion please say Aye. Contrary minded, Nay.
The motion is carried.
The honourable member for Truro-Bible Hill.
MR. JAMES MUIR: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas Sunday, March 21st, marked the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination; and
Whereas three young Halifax area elementary students designed bookmarks for a Make Your Mark Against Racism Campaign sponsored by the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission, Human Resources Canada and the RCMP; and
Whereas the three winners, who include Rosyn Atuanya, a Grade 6 student at Ross Road School; Sori Han, a Grade 4 student at Duc d'Anville Elementary School; and Stephanie Rogers, a Grade 5 student at Duc d'Anville Elementary School; were presented with awards of recognition at the fourth annual harmony brunch held Sunday at the East Preston Recreation Centre;
Therefore be it resolved that all members of the House of Assembly extend congratulations to Rosyn, Sori and Stephanie and to all who participated in this contest.
Mr. Speaker, I request waiver of notice.
MR. SPEAKER: There has been a request for waiver.
Is it agreed?
It is agreed.
Would all those in favour of the motion please say Aye. Contrary minded, Nay.
The motion is carried.
The honourable member for Yarmouth.
MR. JOHN DEVEAU: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas the Royal Canadian Legion's purpose and objective in part is to encourage, promote and engage in or support all forms of national, provincial, municipal and community services as well as any charitable purpose; and
Whereas the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 61, Yarmouth, has over the years fulfilled this objective many-fold; and
Whereas on Saturday, March 20th, Branch 61 held a mortgage burning party attended by the members of the community it serves so well;
Therefore be it resolved that this House congratulate President Freeman Deveau and members of Branch 61 on the paying out of this longstanding debt.
Mr. Speaker, I request waiver.
MR. SPEAKER: There has been a request for waiver.
Is it agreed?
It is agreed.
Would all those in favour of the motion please say Aye. Contrary minded, Nay.
The motion is carried.
The honourable member for Digby-Annapolis.
MR. GORDON BALSER: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas the Consulting Engineers of Nova Scotia (CENS), formerly the Nova Scotia Consulting Engineers Association, is the voice for over 85 per cent of all consulting engineering activity in this province; and
Whereas the industry's annual impact on Nova Scotia's Gross Domestic Product is almost $140 million; and
Whereas the consulting engineers sector is the fastest growing segment of the business services industry;
Therefore be it resolved that the members of this House extend best wishes and congratulations to CENS as they announce the launch of their five year business development plan, CENS Means Business.
Mr. Speaker, I would ask for waiver.
MR. SPEAKER: There has been a request for waiver.
Is it agreed?
It is agreed.
Would all those in favour of the motion please say Aye. Contrary minded, Nay.
The motion is carried.
The honourable member for Timberlea-Prospect.
MR. WILLIAM ESTABROOKS: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas the Halifax Regional School Board at its Tuesday, February 23rd meeting decided that Sir John A. Macdonald High School was its top priority for much-needed renovations; and
Whereas this high school with its infamous air quality problems has served western Halifax County for 32 years; and
Whereas this high school now faces more and more students, the result of overcrowded elementary and junior high schools in the area;
Therefore be it resolved that the Minister of Education immediately take the appropriate steps to ensure the necessary support for the Halifax Regional School Board's decision and the important renovations at Sir John A. Macdonald High School.
MR. SPEAKER: The notice is tabled.
The honourable member for Pictou East.
MR. JAMES DEWOLFE: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas this Liberal Government, as has been the case so many times over the past six years, has been advised, this time by the forest council of western Nova Scotia, that the forest industry could collapse unless a sustainable forest management plan is implemented; and
Whereas private woodlot owners simply want some input into the designing of such a forest management plan, instead of having a plan imposed upon them; and
Whereas the industry is valued at between $1.3 billion and $1.8 billion, while employing upwards of 30,000 people, both directly and indirectly, on an annual basis;
Therefore be it resolved that the Minister of Natural Resources commit to some serious discussions with woodlot owners across Nova Scotia and develop a plan that will ensure the sustainability of Nova Scotia's forest industry well into the new century.
MR. SPEAKER: The notice is tabled.
The honourable member for Halifax Needham.
MS. MAUREEN MACDONALD: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas the NDP caucus travelled to communities across the province to talk with Nova Scotians about our health care system; and
Whereas Nova Scotians in all communities expressed serious concerns about the current government's mismanagement of the health care system; and
Whereas it is clear to all Nova Scotians that health care reform has stalled under this government, leaving communities with virtually no control over health care decisions;
Therefore be it resolved that to start the process of healing our health care system, government adopt and publicize clear health care priorities which reflect the needs and concerns of communities.
Mr. Speaker, I seek waiver.
MR. SPEAKER: There has been a request for waiver.
Is it agreed?
I hear several Noes.
The notice is tabled.
The honourable member for Kings North.
MR. GEORGE ARCHIBALD: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas Nova Scotia's agricultural industry generates more than $1 billion in economic activity on an annual basis while providing employment for over 15,000 Nova Scotians; and
Whereas extremely dry weather and a pricing crisis has caused severe difficulties for Nova Scotia farmers over the past three years; and
Whereas Ottawa has an agricultural policy for all other provinces;
Therefore be it resolved that the Minister of Agriculture and Marketing refuse to take no for an answer from Ottawa and continue consulting with the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture so a funding package can be secured that will be beneficial to the Nova Scotia agricultural community.
Mr. Speaker, I ask for waiver of notice.
MR. SPEAKER: There has been a request for waiver.
Is it agreed?
It is agreed.
Would all those in favour of the motion please say Aye. Contrary minded, Nay.
The motion is carried.
The honourable member for Halifax Chebucto.
MR. HOWARD EPSTEIN: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas since cancelling the Mulroney deal at a cost of $484 million in 1993, the federal government has not yet begun the procurement process to replace Sea King helicopters; and (Interruptions)
Whereas there have been three Sea King emergency landings in the last month alone, with more than 21 special inspections in 1998; and (Interruptions)
MR. SPEAKER: Order, please!
MR. EPSTEIN: Whereas replacement of the Sea Kings was recognized as urgent six years ago;
Therefore be it resolved that this House urge the federal government to accelerate the replacement of its Sea King helicopters to ensure the safety of the military members who operate them, and our friends, neighbours and family members whose lives depend on airworthy Navy helicopters.

The honourable member for Cumberland South.
MR. MURRAY SCOTT: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas seniors from one end of Nova Scotia to the other have faced the brunt of Liberal cuts and taxes since 1993; and
Whereas this Liberal Government has attacked seniors with an endless list of items including the Seniors' Property Tax Rebate, Pharmacare and the HST; and
Whereas seniors, many on fixed incomes, have been forced to deal with this endless list of tax grabs by the Liberals to the point that it has impacted their quality of life;
Therefore be it resolved that this Liberal Government be admonished for their relentless attack on seniors and begin recognizing the contribution they are making and have made to life in this great province.
Mr. Speaker, I request waiver of notice.
MR. SPEAKER: There has been a request for waiver.
Is it agreed?
I hear several Noes.

The honourable Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party for an introduction.
DR. JOHN HAMM: Mr. Speaker, I wish to draw the attention of the members to two guests in the west gallery. The two guests from Cape Breton are Ms. Edna Budden and Ms. Beverley Brown. You will recognize those names as being prime movers in organizing the United Families Group and the very successful rally that was held in Glace Bay. They are continually working to keep awareness up in terms of the federal government's position on the coal industry in Cape Breton. I would ask our two guests to rise and to receive the welcome of the House. (Applause)
MR. SPEAKER: The honourable member for Pictou West.
MR. CHARLES PARKER: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas it is well known that the Sutherland-Harris Memorial Hospital in Pictou is widely regarded as one of the best small hospitals in Nova Scotia; and
Whereas the Sutherland-Harris Memorial Hospital serves a large geographical area; and
Whereas having close proximity to services such as acute care beds and emergency care is vital and important for the citizens of the area;
Therefore be it resolved that this House fully supports expanding services such as emergency care and acute care beds at the Sutherland-Harris Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Speaker, I ask for waiver.
MR. SPEAKER: There has been a request for waiver.
Is it agreed?
I hear several Noes.
The notice is tabled.
The honourable member for Colchester-Musquodoboit Valley.
MR. BROOKE TAYLOR: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas most Nova Scotians, including the Nova Scotia Roadbuilders Association, are concerned that the safety of motorists is being threatened by the inadequacy of highway maintenance; and
Whereas the Roadbuilders Association's director believes regular routine maintenance is far better than allowing the roads to decay to such a point that they have to be rebuilt from scratch; and
Whereas the Nova Scotia Minister of Transportation and Public Works continues to blame Ottawa as the culprit for not having money to fix Nova Scotia roads;
Therefore be it resolved that the Minister of Transportation and Public Works take a look in the mirror and understand that even if no money comes from Ottawa, he and his Liberal Government have a responsibility, on behalf of the taxpayers of Nova Scotia, to fix and repair provincial roads and keep them maintained.
MR. SPEAKER: The notice is tabled.
The honourable member for Hants East.
MR. JOHN MACDONELL: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas the Pee Wee "A" tournament was held last weekend in Lantz; and
Whereas no sport emphasizes community and commitment more than hockey does; and
Whereas the organization of such tournaments is a marathon event in itself;
Therefore be it resolved that the members of this House congratulate the organizers and participants of the Pee Wee "A" tournament held in Hants East this past weekend.

MR. JAMES MUIR: Mr. Speaker, I hereby give notice that on a future day I shall move the adoption of the following resolution:
Whereas the Liberal Government promised that the closing of the Nova Scotia Residential Centre in Truro in June 1997 signalled the development of a Secure Treatment Centre on that site which would open in 1998; and
Whereas in March 1998, during the election campaign, Premier Russell MacLellan gave assurances that the Secure Treatment Centre project was still on schedule and would be firmly in place by March 31, 1998; and
Whereas more than one year later, government promises about the establishment of the Secure Treatment Centre on the campus of the former Nova Scotia Residential Centre, ring empty, hollow and broken;
Therefore be it resolved that this government honour its commitment to the young people of Nova Scotia who need to be served by a Secure Treatment Facility and immediately make public its timetable for the development of a Secure Treatment Facility on the campus of the former Nova Scotia Residential Centre.

ORDERS OF THE DAY
GOVERNMENT BUSINESS
MR. SPEAKER: The honourable Deputy Government House Leader.
MR. PAUL MACEWAN: Mr. Speaker, I move that you do now leave the Chair and the House resolve itself into a Committee of the Whole House on Bills.
MR. SPEAKER: Would all those in favour of the motion please say Aye. Contrary minded, Nay.
The motion is carried.
MR. GEORGE ARCHIBALD: Mr. Speaker, on a point of order. It has been a tradition of the House for many years, as far as I know, that the wearing of pins of any description, no matter how supportive you may be of them, is not to be displayed in the Chamber. However, I have noticed for the last couple of days the presence of a pin on somebody's lapel and I am just wondering, have the rules been changed or is that still unacceptable to be wearing pins in the House?
MR. SPEAKER: It is unacceptable to wear pins in the House if they are of a political nature. Unfortunately, what the honourable member brings forward is a very interesting point because at one time you were not permitted to wear any pins whatsoever. However, we have, as the member I am sure is well aware, a number of ribbon days and different kinds of things of that nature and it has grown into the custom that people can wear those kinds of things that demonstrate an affiliation with a certain cause. I do not know what the pin is defining that the honourable member is talking about but, however, I will ask the honourable member for Cape Breton Nova.
The honourable member for Cape Breton Nova.
MR. PAUL MACEWAN: I believe that the lapel pin the honourable member refers to is the one that I have on which I received from my good friend, Stephen Drake, President of the United Mine Workers of America, earlier today. I wore it to demonstrate my support of the United Mine Workers. If that is offensive to the honourable members across the way, so be it, but I thought they were supporting that cause and so I did not think they would find any offence in my wearing a UMW pin here today.
MR. SPEAKER: The honourable member for Argyle.
MR. NEIL LEBLANC: Mr. Speaker, I in no way mean dishonour to any cause; however, the practice of the House has been not to display pins and we have always followed the protocol. I in no sense mean disrespect to any organization, but we follow the rules and we respect that and, as such, I brought it to the attention of the Speaker, that is all. I would like to have a ruling, then all members will follow the protocol as determined by the Speaker.
MR. SPEAKER: The honourable member for Sackville-Cobequid.
MR. JOHN HOLM: Mr. Speaker, I very much appreciate this matter being brought to the floor. I very much appreciate this. I was under the understanding that we were not permitted to do that. If the rules are that we actually can do that now, I am pleased to know that because I would be only too proud to be wearing a pin in support of the Devco miners, the families and the communities. I have not had mine on because I did not think I was permitted to. So if the understanding is that we are permitted to wear them for causes that
we believe in, I think that that is great. Our caucus will, therefore, be able to show our support more publicly.
MR. SPEAKER: I do not think I need any more interventions. I think I have made up my mind on this because, as I said previously - and when I say previously, I mean going back a few years - it was indeed not permitted to wear pins in the House and henceforth pins will not be worn in the House.
The honourable member for Lunenburg on an introduction.
MR. MICHAEL BAKER: Mr. Speaker, I would like to introduce in the west gallery the representatives of the Pictou County injured workers who are in the House today for a second time to hear the debate on Bill No. 90. I would like to encourage the members of the House to give them their warm greeting on being back here today. (Applause)
MR. SPEAKER: I would hate to rule a greeting out of order but, in point of fact, I had already agreed to leave the Chair. However, we will forego that for the moment. I am now leaving the Chair.
[10:49 a.m. The House resolved itself into a CWH on Bills with Deputy Speaker Mr. Donald Chard in the Chair.]
[12:57 p.m. CWH on Bills rose and the House reconvened. Mr. Speaker, Hon. Ronald Russell, resumed the Chair.]
MR. SPEAKER: The Chairman of the Committee of the Whole House on Bills reports:
THE CLERK: That the committee has met and begs leave to sit again.
MR. SPEAKER: Is it agreed?
It is agreed.
The honourable Deputy Government House Leader.
MR. PAUL MACEWAN: Mr. Speaker, on Monday, it is our intention to sit from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. The business after the daily routine will be the continuation of Bill No. 90 in the Committee of the Whole House on Bills.
I might also indicate that we intend to sit on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. through to 6:00 p.m. and will continue on Bill No. 90 as well.
Mr. Speaker, I move that the House do now rise to meet again on Monday evening at the hour of 7:00 p.m.
MR. SPEAKER: The motion is to adjourn. Would all those in favour of the motion please say Aye. Contrary minded, Nay.
The motion is carried.
