An Act to Expand
the Heating Rebate Program

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 This Act may be cited as the Heating Rebate Program Expansion Act.

2 (1) Subject to Section 3, the Minister of Service Nova Scotia shall set the household income threshold for eligibility under the Heating Assistance Rebate Program to $85,000.

(2) Subject to Section 3, the Minister of Service Nova Scotia shall set the rebate payable under the Heating Assistance Rebate Program to $1,000.

3 The money required for the purpose of this Act must be paid out of money appropriated for that purpose by the Legislature.
