An Act to Protect the Green Fund

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 This Act may be cited as the Green Fund Protection Act.

2 Notwithstanding any enactment,

(a) the Green Fund established under the Environment Act is continued; and

(b) any credit payment, fee, fine or penalty amount paid to the Province by a regulated facility in relation to an output-based pricing system established under the Environment Act must be paid into the Green Fund.
