Explanatory Note

This Bill requires a police officer to have reasonable grounds to believe that the Act or the regulations are being contravened before exercising certain powers to ensure compliance with the Act.

An Act to Amend Chapter 3
of the Acts of 2018,
the Cannabis Control Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Subsection 24(1) of Chapter 3 of the Acts of 2018, the Cannabis Control Act, is amended by striking out "may, at any reasonable time" in the second line and substituting "who has reasonable grounds to believe that this Act or the regulations are being contravened may, at any time".
