Explanatory Note
This Bill amends the Universities Accountability and Sustainability Act to require the Minister to publicly announce decisions made respecting grants and loans made by the Government of Nova Scotia or the Government Reporting Entities to a university.
An Act to Amend Chapter 11
of the Acts of 2015,
the Universities Accountability and Sustainability Act
1 Chapter 11 of the Acts of 2015, the Universities Accountability and Sustainability Act, is amended by adding immediately after Section 20 the following Section:

(2) The Minister shall publicly announce
(a) the making of a loan or guarantee to any university by the Government or by a Government Reporting Entity, as defined in the Finance Act; and
(b) the default on or forgiveness of any loan or guarantee referred to in clause (a).
