Explanatory Note
This Bill repeals provisions of the Liquor Control Act relating to plebiscites with effect on and after January 1, 2019.
An Act to Amend Chapter 260
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Liquor Control Act
1 Sections 43 to 46 of Chapter 260 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Liquor Control Act, are repealed.
2 (1) Subsections 49(1) to (7) of Chapter 260 are repealed.
(2) Subsection 49(10) of Chapter 260, as amended by Chapter 28 of the Acts of 2000, Chapter 21 of the Acts of 2011 and Chapter 18 of the Acts of 2014, is further amended by striking out "subsections (1) to" in the first line and substituting "subsection".
(3) Subsection 49(12) of Chapter 260 is repealed.
(4) Subsection 49(14) of Chapter 260, as amended by Chapter 28 of the Acts of 2000 and Chapter 21 of the Acts of 2011, is further amended by striking out "subsections (1) to (8) apply in the same manner and in the same extent as they apply to any of the types of license mentioned in subsection (2), and" in the fourth to sixth lines and substituting "subsection (8) applies in the same manner and to the same extent as it applies to any of the types of license mentioned in that subsection".
3 This Act has effect on and after January 1, 2019.
