Explanatory Note
This Bill reduces the minimum separation of a sonic device from a property, road or path, reduces the minimum separation distance between sonic devices and repeals a provision respecting the placement of directional sonic devices.
An Act to Amend
the Sonic Devices Regulations
Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:
1 (1) Subsection 3(1) of N.S. Reg. 169/2012, the Sonic Devices Regulations, made pursuant to Section 15 of the Farm Practices Act, is amended by striking out "175 m (575 ft.)" in the second line and substituting "30.5 m (100 ft.)".
(2) Subsection 3(2) of N.S. Reg. 169/2012 is amended by striking out "125 m (410 ft.)" in the second line and substituting "15.25 m (50 ft.)".
2 Section 4 of N.S. Reg. 169/2012 is amended by striking out "75 m (245 ft.)" and substituting "30.5 m (100 ft.)".
3 Section 5 of N.S. Reg. 169/2012 is repealed.
