Explanatory Note

This Bill provides that first-response emergency vehicles are exempted from the spring weight restrictions.

An Act to Amend Chapter 371
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Public Highways Act,
Respecting Spring Weight Restrictions

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Chapter 371 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Public Highways Act, is amended by adding immediately after Section 19 the following Section:

19A Notwithstanding Section 19 or 20 or any weight restriction regulations made pursuant to those Sections, first-response emergency vehicles are exempted from spring weight restrictions.
