Explanatory Note

This Bill amends the Gaelic College Foundation Act to change the composition of the Board of Governors of the Gaelic College Foundation.

An Act to Amend Chapter 89
of the Acts of 1980,
the Gaelic College Foundation Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Subsection 6(2) of Chapter 89 of the Acts of 1980, the Gaelic College Foundation Act, is repealed and the following subsection substituted:

(2) The Board is composed of

(a) nine Governors elected by and from the members of the Foundation; and

(b) two Governors appointed by the Governor in Council.

2 Section 1 comes into force when the number of Governors of the Gaelic College Foundation appointed by the Governor in Council becomes two or fewer.
