Explanatory Note
This Bill requires the Minister of Natural Resources to determine and set an annual allowable harvest of forest land on Crown lands in Nova Scotia.
An Act to Amend Chapter 179
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Forests Act
Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:
1 Chapter 179 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Forests Act, is amended by adding immediately after Section 8 the following Section:
8A The Minister shall determine and set an annual allowable harvest of forest land on Crown lands in Nova Scotia.
