Explanatory Note
This Bill provides that Nova Scotia long service medals for ground search and rescue crew or other persons involved in the provision of emergency services are to be given after 10 years of service and after every 5 years thereafter.
An Act to Amend Chapter 8
of the Acts of 1990,
the Emergency Management Act
Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:
1 Subsection 9A(1) of Chapter 8 of the Acts of 1990, the Emergency Management Act, as enacted by Chapter 10 of the Acts of 2007, is amended by adding "after ten years of service and after every five years of additional service thereafter" immediately after "service" in the last line.
