Explanatory Note

This Bill provides that Nova Scotia long service medals for firefighters and other persons involved in the provision of fire services are to be given after 15 and after 25 years of service.

An Act to Amend Chapter 6
of the Acts of 2002,
the Fire Safety Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Subsection 14A(1) of Chapter 6 of the Acts of 2002, the Fire Safety Act, as enacted by Chapter 10 of the Acts of 2007, is amended by adding "after fifteen years of service and after twenty-five years of service" immediately after "service" in the last line.
