Explanatory Note
This Bill enables the board of directors of a district health authority to apologize publicly for misconduct or malpractice that occurs within the jurisdiction of the district health authority and makes it clear that such an apology cannot be used in any legal or other proceeding relating to the misconduct or malpractice.
An Act to Amend Chapter 6
of the Acts of 2000,
the Health Authorities Act
1 Chapter 6 of the Acts of 2000, the Health Authorities Act, is amended by adding immediately after Section 37 the following Section:
(2) An apology referred to in subsection (1) may not be used in any legal or other proceeding relating to any misconduct or malpractice referred to in the apology.
