Explanatory Note

This Bill requires that a sign be posted in or approaching a temporary work area advising drivers that the fines for speeding in a temporary work area are double.

An Act to Amend Chapter 293
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Motor Vehicle Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Chapter 293 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Motor Vehicle Act, is amended by adding immediately after Section 106B the following Section:

106C The Minister or the traffic authority shall erect a sign in or approaching a temporary work area advising drivers that the fines under this Act for speeding in a temporary work area are double.
