Explanatory Note

This Bill requires the wearing of a helmet when using a scooter, skate board, in-line skates or roller skates on any property where their use is permitted.

An Act to Amend Chapter 293
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Motor Vehicle Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 (1) Subsection 170B(1) of Chapter 293 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Motor Vehicle Act, as enacted by Chapter 20 of the Acts of 2002, is amended by adding "or on any property where such riding or operation is permitted" immediately after "sidewalk" in the fourth line.

(2) Subsection 170B(2) of Chapter 293, as enacted by Chapter 20, is amended by adding "or on any property where such riding or operation is permitted" immediately after "sidewalk" in the sixth line.
