Explanatory Note

This Bill adds regulation-making power respecting the admission of a resident to a nursing home, home or residential-care facility that has a spouse living in the community or a spouse already admitted in a nursing home, home for aged or disabled persons or residential-care facility.

An Act to Amend Chapter 203
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Homes for Special Care Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Subsection 19(1) of Chapter 203 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Homes for Special Care Act, is amended by adding immediately after clause (p) the following clause:

(pa) respecting the admission of a resident in a facility, a nursing home or a home who has a spouse living in the community or a spouse already admitted in a nursing home, home for aged or disabled persons or facility;
