Explanatory Note

This Bill adds regulation-making power respecting francophone applicants to a nursing home, home for aged or disabled persons or residential-care facility.

An Act to Amend Chapter 203
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Homes for Special Care Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Subsection 19(1) of Chapter 203 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Homes for Special Care Act, is amended by adding immediately after clause (q) the following clause:

(qa) respecting the admission of francophone applicants to a nursing home, home for aged or disabled persons or facility in a francophone community;
