An Act to Delay the Application
for Rate Increases by Nova Scotia Power
1 This Act may be cited as the Nova Scotia Power Rate Application Act, 2005.
2 This Act applies to all applications by Nova Scotia Power Incorporated for a rate increase, whether made before or after the coming into force of this Act.
3 Notwithstanding any other enactment, the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board shall not hold any hearings before May 1, 2006, to consider any rate increases for Nova Scotia Power Incorporated and, for greater certainty, the Board shall not approve and Nova Scotia Power Incorporated shall not implement any rate increases before such hearings are held.
