Explanatory Note

This Bill prohibits any fees for mandatory education programs.

An Act to Amend Chapter 1
of the Acts of 1995-96,
the Education Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Section 5 of Chapter 1 of the Acts of 1995-96, the Education Act, is amended by adding immediately after subsection (3) the following subsection:

(4) Subject to subsection (3), no person shall charge a fee for a mandatory program or anything in connection with a mandatory program.
2 Subsection 146(1) is amended by adding immediately after clause (ye) the following clause:
(yf) defining a mandatory program;
