Explanatory Note
This Bill authorizes a municipal subdivision by-law to require an applicant to undertake a hydrogeological assessment to determine the impact of a proposed subdivision, and any future development resulting from it, on existing and future households in the area.
An Act to Amend Chapter 18
of the Acts of 1998,
the Municipal Government Act
1 Section 271 of Chapter 18 of the Acts of 1998, the Municipal Government Act, as amended by Chapter 35 of the Acts of 2001, Chapter 6 of the Acts of 2001, Chapter 9 of the Acts of 2003 and Chapter 7 of the Acts of 2004, is further amended by adding immediately after subsection (8) the following subsection:
(8A) A subdivision by-law may require an applicant to undertake a hydrogeological assessment to determine the impact of the proposed subdivision, and any future development resulting from it, on existing and future households in the area.
