Explanatory Note
This Bill permits left turns on red lights at the intersection of two one-way streets under similar circumstances as right turns are permitted on red lights.
An Act to Amend Chapter 293
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Motor Vehicle Act
1 Clause 93(2)(e) of Chapter 293 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Motor Vehicle Act, is amended by
(a) striking out "or" at the end of subclause (i);
(b) adding "or" at the end of subclause (ii); and
(c) adding immediately after subclause (ii) the following subclause:
(iii) if a stop is first made and the movement can be made in safety and is not prohibited by sign, proceed to make a left turn from a one-way highway into a one-way highway,
