An Act to Amend Chapter 38
of the Acts of 1996,
the Antiochian Maronite
Catholic Church Corporation Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 The long title of Chapter 38 of the Acts of 1996, the Antiochian Maronite Catholic Church Corporation Act, is changed from "An Act to Incorporate the Antiochian Maronite Church Corporation" to "An Act Respecting the Antiochian Maronite Catholic Church - Our Lady of Lebanon - Corporation".

2 Section 1 of Chapter 38 is amended by adding "- Our Lady of Lebanon -" immediately after "Church" in the second line.

3 Section 2 of Chapter 38 is amended by

(a) adding "- Our Lady of Lebanon -" immediately after "Church" in the second line of clause (a); and

(b) striking out clause (b) and substituting the following clause:

(b) "Corporation" means the corporation established by subsection 3(1).

4 Subsection 3(2) of Chapter 38 is repealed and the following subsections substituted:

(2) Notwithstanding subsection (1), on and after the coming into force of this subsection, the corporation established by that subsection shall be known as the Antiochian Maronite Catholic Church - Our Lady of Lebanon - Corporation.

(3) The members of the Corporation are

(a) the Eparchial Bishop;

(b) the Pastor;

(c) the Protosyncellus;

(d) two lay members of the Church proposed by the Pastor and appointed by the Eparchial Bishop; and

(e) such other persons who, from time to time, become members of the Corporation in accordance with the by-laws of the Corporation, as long as they remain members of the Corporation.
