Explanatory Note

This Bill provides that a person who is eighteen years of age may be nominated as a candidate at an election.

An Act to Amend Chapter 140
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Elections Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Clause 65(b) of Chapter 140 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Elections Act, is amended by striking out "nineteen" and substituting "eighteen".
