Explanatory Note
This Bill makes it an offence for the Minister of Economic Development and Tourism to fail to table in the House of Assembly within nine months of the end of a fiscal year the annual report of the Department of Economic Development and Tourism for that year.
An Act to Amend Chapter 5
of the Acts of 1994,
the Economic Renewal Act,
to Make It an Offence to Fail to File
the Annual Report of the Department
of Economic Development and Tourism
Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:
1 Section 10 of Chapter 5 of the Acts of 1994, the Economic Renewal Act, is amended by(a) adding "(1)" immediately after the Section number in the first line; and
(b) adding the following subsection:
(2) Where the Minister fails to table the report referred to in subsection (1) within nine months of the end of the fiscal year to which it relates, the Minister is guilty of an offence punishable upon summary conviction.
