An Act to Provide for the Termination
of the Comprehensive Integrated Tax
Co-ordination Agreement Between
the Government of Canada and
the Government of Nova Scotia

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 This Act may be cited as the Sales Tax Termination Act.

2 In this Act, "agreement" means the Comprehensive Integrated Tax Co-ordination Agreement referred to in the Sales Tax Act, together with any amendments made pursuant to that Act.

3 Within thirty days of the coming into force of this Act, the Minister of Finance, on behalf of the Government of the Province, shall give notice to the Government of Canada in accordance with the Agreement to terminate the Agreement effective as of the end of the eighteen-month period that immediately follows the last day of the calendar quarter in which the notice is given.
