Explanatory Note

This Bill prohibits the charging of fees for services or supplies necessarily incidental to insured professional services under the Health Services and Insurance Act.

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Chapter 197 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Health Services and Insurance Act, is amended by adding the following Section:

29A Where a provider renders an insured professional service to a resident, the provider shall not charge the resident any fee for any services or supplies that are necessarily incidental to the insured professional service.
