MR. SPEAKER: Order, please. Before we begin the daily routine, the subject submitted for this evening's late debate was submitted by the honourable member for Guysborough-Port Hawkesbury:
Therefore be it resolved that members acknowledge the positive steps taken by the Minister and the Department of Education regarding the Strait Regional School Board.
This will be debated this evening at 6:00 p.m. (Interruptions)

MR. SPEAKER: The honourable Liberal House Leader.
MR. MANNING MACDONALD: In view of what has happened here this afternoon to our good friend and colleague, the member for Cape Breton Nova, I would respectfully ask you, Mr. Speaker, to authorize the suspending of the House for this afternoon and I would call upon the Government House Leader to call for the adjournment and give us the hours for tomorrow.

HON. RONALD RUSSELL: Mr. Speaker, I move the House do now rise to meet again on the morrow at the hour of 12:00 noon. The House will sit until 8:00 p.m. The order of business following four hours of Supply will be Public Bills for Second Reading, commencing with Bill No. 112, the Gas Distribution Act and then Bill No. 109, the Financial Measures (2002) Act.
Mr. Speaker, I move the House do now rise.
