Lisa Roberts was first elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly as MLA for Halifax Needham in a by-election in 2016 and was re-elected in 2017.

She is a former CBC journalist and also worked with non-profit organizations and community groups. She speaks fluent French and Spanish.
