An Act to Amend Chapter 23
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Assessment Act
Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:
1 Section 45A of Chapter 23 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Assessment Act, as enacted by Chapter 10 of the Acts of 2004 and amended by Chapter 24 of the Acts of 2006, is further amended by adding immediately after subsection (2) the following subsection:
(2A) Effective with respect to the 2009-10 and subsequent municipal taxation years, this Section applies to a housing co-operative that is occupied by individuals the majority of whom are ordinarily resident in the Province.
2 This Act comes into force on such day as the Governor in Council orders and declares by proclamation.
