An Act to Require the Governor in Council
to Make Regulations Respecting the Registration
and Use of Low-speed Motor Vehicles

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 This Act may be cited as the Low-speed Motor Vehicles Regulations Act.

2 No later than one year after the coming into force of this Section, the Governor in Council shall enact regulations pursuant to the Motor Vehicle Act

(a) permitting the use on public highways, with a posted speed limit of not greater than fifty kilometres per hour, of motor vehicles that are designed for use on highways and that have a top operating speed of forty kilometres per hour; and

(b) respecting the registration of such vehicles pursuant to the Motor Vehicle Act.
