An Act to Amend Chapter 3
of the Acts of 1994-95,
the Farm Registration Act
Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:
1 (1) Subsections 8(4), (4A) and (4B) of Chapter 3 of the Acts of 1994-95, the Farm Registration Act, are repealed and the following subsections substituted:
(4A) Notwithstanding subsections (1) and (2), a farm business or a farm operation may, at the time of payment of the annual fee, state that they do not want to be a member of a general farm organization.
(4B) Where a farm business or a farm operation makes a statement referred to in subsection (4A), the Registrar shall not forward the information referred to in subsection (4) to a general farm organization.
(2) Subsection 8(7) of Chapter 3 is repealed.
2 Clause 12(1)(d) of Chapter 3 is repealed.
3 This Act comes into force on such day as the Governor in Council orders and declares by proclamation.
