Explanatory Note

This Bill permits an increase from 6 to 8 in the maximum number of members of the Board of Directors of the Workers' Compensation Board representing employers and workers by reducing the maximum number of members of the Board of Directors from 11 to 10 and eliminating two non-voting members of the Board of Directors representing the public at large. The other two members continue to be the Chair and Deputy Chair.

An Act to Amend Chapter 10
of the Acts of 1994-95,
the Workers' Compensation Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows: 1 (1) Subsection 151(2) of Chapter 10 of the Acts of 1994-95, the Workers' Compensation Act, is amended by striking out "eleven" in the second line and substituting "ten". (2) Clause 151(3)(d) of Chapter 10 is repealed.

2 This Act comes into force on such day as the Governor in Council orders and declares by proclamation.
