Explanatory Note

This Bill changes the name of the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation to the Nova Scotia Gambling Corporation.

An Act to Amend Chapter 4
of the Acts of 1994-95,
the Gaming Control Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows: 1 Clause 3(d) of Chapter 4 of the Acts of 1994-95, the Gaming Control Act, is amended by striking out "Gaming" in the first and second lines and substituting "Gambling".

2 Section 8 of Chapter 4 is amended by striking out "Gaming" in the second line and substituting "Gambling".

3 A reference in any enactment or document to the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation is deemed to be a reference to the Nova Scotia Gambling Corporation.
