Explanatory Notes
Clause 1 replaces the definition of "aggrieved person" with a definition of "interested person" in Parts VIII and IX of the Municipal Government Act dealing with planning and development and subdivision matters.
Clauses 2 and 3 replace references to an "aggrieved person" with references to an "interested person" in Sections 247 and 250 of the Municipal Government Act.An Act to Amend Chapter 18

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:
1 Section 191 of Chapter 18 of the Acts of 1998, the Municipal Government Act, is amended by(a) striking out clause (a); and(b) adding immediately after clause (g) the following clause:(ga) "interested person" includes
2 (1) Clause 247(1)(a) of Chapter 18 is amended by striking out "aggrieved" and substituting "interested". (2) Clause 247(2)(a) of Chapter 18 is amended by striking out "aggrieved" and substituting "interested". 3 Subsection 250(1) of Chapter 18 is amended by striking out "aggrieved" in the first line and substituting "interested".
(i) an individual who made a submission to a municipal council concerning the matter at issue or who believes the decision of the council will adversely affect the value or enjoyment of the person's property or the enjoyment of property occupied by the person,(ii) an incorporated organization, the objects of which include promoting or protecting the quality of life of persons residing in the neighbourhood affected by the council's decision, or features, structures or sites of the community affected by the council's decision, having significant cultural, architectural or recreational value, and(iii) an incorporated or unincorporated organization in which the majority of members are interested persons;
