2013-04-18_1021_SS: Unparliamentary Language

MR. MAT WHYNOTT: You know, Madam Speaker, we will - and why do we have some of the highest rates? Why? Why do we have it? Because the Tories and the Liberals never had the guts to do anything about it - they never had the guts.

MADAM SPEAKER: Order, please. I would ask the honourable member to retract the comment related to guts. It's unparliamentary.

2013-04-17_0900_SS: Unparliamentary Language

MR. ANDREW YOUNGER: Whereas after accepting the illegal donations and after telling Nova Scotians they would return these . . .

MADAM SPEAKER: Order, please. The use of the word "illegal" is deemed unparliamentary - it has been, and I will give you an opportunity. Finish your resolution, but go on notice that it's a recurring word that's popping up in the House now, so be mindful of it. Thank you.

The honourable member for Dartmouth East has the floor.

2013-04-17_0904_PO: Impugning Motive on Use of Funds

HON. MICHEL SAMSON: Mr. Speaker, on a point of order. The resolution read by the member indicates that the Leader of the Liberal Party is using tainted funds even to this day - that would suggest that that is an illegal act based on the laws of this province, therefore I would suggest that she's imputing motive against the Leader of the Party. The laws were passed in this House.
