Explanatory Note

This Bill requires a notice of assessment to include the assessments for the preceding five years in addition to the current assessment.

An Act to Amend Chapter 23
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Assessment Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Section 53 of Chapter 23 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Assessment Act, is amended by adding immediately after subsection (1) the following subsection:

(1A) The notice of Assessment must also include the amount at which the property of the person was assessed for each of the preceding five years.
