An Act to Amend Chapter 39
of the Acts of 2008,
the Halifax Regional Municipality Charter, and
Chapter 18 of the Acts of 1998,
the Municipal Government Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Section 2 of Chapter 52 of the Acts of 2010, An Act to Amend Chapter 39 of the Acts of 2008, the Halifax Regional Municipality Charter, is amended by striking out "79" in the first line and substituting "39".

2 Subsection 220(4) of Chapter 18 of the Acts of 1998, the Municipal Government Act, as amended by Chapter 9 of the Acts of 2000 and Chapter 40 of the Acts of 2006, is further amended by

(a) striking out "minimum" in the first line of clause (a); and

(b) striking out "maximum" in the first line of clause (g).

3 Section 457 of Chapter 18 is amended by

(a) striking out "Governor in Council" in the last line of subsection (5) and substituting "Minister"; and

(b) striking out "Governor in Council" in the last line of subsection (6) and substituting "Minister".

4 This Act comes into force on such day as the Governor in Council orders and declares by proclamation.
