Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 This Act may be cited as the Beaver Bank Act.

2 The community in Halifax County that, immediately prior to the coming into force of this Act, was known as Beaverbank or Beaver Bank shall, on and after the coming into force of this Act, be known as Beaver Bank.

3 Section 2 of Chapter 7 of the Acts of 1994, the Electoral Boundaries (1992) Confirmation Act, is amended by striking out "Beaverbank" in the last line and substituting "Beaver Bank".

4 Chapter 1 (1992 Supplement) of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the House of Assembly Act, is amended by striking out "Beaverbank" wherever "Beaverbank" appears and substituting in each case "Beaver Bank".

5 Sections 3 and 4 come into force upon the first dissolution of the House of Assembly after this Act receives Royal Assent.
