An Act Respecting

the River John Fire Department

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 This Act may be cited as the River John Voluntary Fire Department Dissolution Act.

2 In this Act,

(a) "New Department" means River John Voluntary Fire Department 1996, incorporated pursuant to the Societies Act;

(b) "Old Department" means the River John Voluntary Fire Department, incorporated by Chapter 114 of the Acts of 1954, An Act to Incorporate River John Voluntary Fire Department.

3 (1) All right, title and interest of the Old Department in any real or personal property and all rights and privileges of the Old Department are hereby vested in the New Department.

(2) All the obligations and liabilities of the Old Department are the obligations and liabilities of the New Department.

4 The Old Department is dissolved.

5 Chapter 114 is repealed.
