         This Bill prohibits uranium mining.





                       An Act to Amend Chapter 18
                          of the Acts of 1990,
                        the Mineral Resources Act



         Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:


         1  Section 21 of Chapter 18 of the Acts of 1990, the Mineral Resources Act, is amended
by adding immediately after subsection (1) the following subsection:

            (1A)    Any prospecting for, exploration for, development in respect of or mining of
         uranium is prohibited and, for greater certainty, no licence, lease or permit shall be issued
         pursuant to this Act in respect of uranium.
