Dr. the Honourable Ron Stewart, passed away on October 21 at the age of 82. Dr. Stewart was an internationally recognized pioneer in the field of emergency medicine, innovator and philanthropist who served as Minister of Health for the Province from 1993 to 1996 and one of only seven Nova Scotians to ever be appointed as a Companion of the Order of Canada.
